WELCOME TO THE HUMMING BIRDS

The Humming Birds is a luxury 2 story, single family home in historic Old Palm Harbor, one of the best areas along this coastline.

Set away from the tourist areas, you are a short walk from the Gulf at St. Josephs sound with its park, Boardwalks and fishing pier.

The downtown area of Old Palm Harbor is also a short walk from our home and is very much "traditional" Florida, with its antique shops, good restaurants, historic cracker houses and laid back atmosphere. Here there are monthly street parties for everyone to enjoy.
 
The Pinellas cycle/walking trail can be picked up from close by, and runs for miles both north and south, going past some of the coastline and many of the attractions. (cycle rentals available there)
 
All within a 5 minute drive are some of the best beaches, lakes, and state parks in the county. Honeymoon and Caladesi islands are both nature reserves, totally unspoiled and offer all the family the most wonderful escape from it all. Caladesi beaches are constantly voted in the top 10 in the USA, being number one in 2008. Crystal Beach with its quaint little harbor is also a short drive.

Lake Tarpon is world known for its fishing and is lined with some beautiful state parks, with trails, BBQ areas, boating and viewing towers.
 
The "Greek" Sponge Docks of Tarpon Springs and the lovely marinas of Dunedin are also very close by.
 
For those coming for Golf, Palm Harbor has the championship course of Innisbrook and numerous other great courses close by.
 
For sporting fans, the area now has the Phillies Spring Training Ground within a 5 minutes drive. 

Raymond James and Tropicana Field are also within a 30 minute drive.
 
For those seeking 'more to do' Clearwater Beach is just a 10 minute drive away.

The shopping malls, 24hour supermarkets, great restaurants etc, are all within a short drive. Clearwater beach is a 10 minute drive, Tampa a 30 minutes drive away and Orlando approximately 1 1/2 hour drive away. In short this area has the best of EVERYTHING for EVERYBODY in the family.

The Humming Birds is a newly built and elegantly furnished 2 story, 2 bedroom home. This home is for the renter who wants that "extra bit of luxury" and something completely different.

This wonderful house is full of charm and has been built to a unique design. It has been built for and by the owners to spend quality time there themselves, and is being offered to rent when they are not there. It will sleep 4/6 persons.

Our home comprises of over 1600 sq. ft. of living space, has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The whole of the upstairs is one large master suite of bedroom, extra large bathroom and closets. The bedroom has sliding doors that open out to a full width upper level balcony, perfect for sitting with your morning coffee. It has a queen bed and a sofa bed.

The second bedroom and second full bathroom are downstairs and have 2 twin beds and a large closet. The large living room has a 52in HDV T.V. DVD, and CD. Sliding doors  open to a full width porch, complete with swinging seat. It has a formal dining area which leads onto a fully equipped white on white kitchen with new appliances. All linens are provided.

All rooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans.

The oversized laundry room has new appliances and ironing facilities.

We supply beach chairs and umbrellas.

Outside is "South Beach" in Old Palm Harbor!

The pool area has been designed to capture the feel of the tropics. This secluded area has a new pool with an adjoining wooden sun deck to lap up the atmosphere. Ample patio furniture is provided, outside shower and Gas BBQ. The Tiki Hut is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sunset.

he Hummingbirds is in the same quiet cul-de-sac as our other home, the Cardinals.
 
We provide a weekly pool service, and help on flights, car hire, or anything you are not sure about. We have lived in Old Palm Harbor for over 15 years, so can give you first hand local knowledge if required.
